  According to their body language, the 'sister' looking at the camera has her hands behind her back means she is insecure and nervous, her body is not facing the camera but her face and right foot meaning she is intending to approach the person that is taking the photo.

  The 'brother's' hands on hips is called the readiness gesture, a feeling of entitlement and ready for confrontation, but being that jw's teach everyone to be salesmen he tries to hide it with his happy face.

  I am loosing my patience with this pro pedo homo sexist death prick.

  He called me an indiot, he never answered directly as to why I am an idiot and changed the subject, he asks for doctrine changes and I give him a link to jwfacts, he comes back saying that I can not back up my own claims and I basically told him that I don't give a shit and I will not be mouth feeding him, he then comes back with I dont use scripture and that I am not arguing with him but god!! LOL. I don't even believe let alone like god.

  My last response was:

  Oh right, scripture, my only weakness, lol. You are a liar as you do not use scripture alone. Without all the literature produced, many that are no longer available, shows all the changes and false teachings. Tell me, where is the scripture that the GB appointed themselves as faithful slave? How can you come to 1914 with scripture alone (don't come back with me with the counting since genesis bullshit because it does not add up)? Show me in scripture that 144,000 is a literal number. Idiot.

  Seriously I hope the fucker has a long happy life as a jw, and dies as one.

  What's with all the JWs unleashing the hate!?

  most of us here on jwn, while we can get a bit narky at times, can put forth intelligent arguments and sound observations.

  sure we can get bogged down with our opinions, but generally we back up our opinions with examples and evidence, and if someone has a different opinion with examples and evidence, we accept that without recriminations.

  that's what adults do.. so my question is, why in the last week or so, have a couple of posters claiming to be jws come onto this forum and berated, spewed hate and judgement, and in some cases verbally attacked members personally?

  ^^^^ Because they've dehumanised us. And when you've dehumanised people, you can stand by and watch anything happen to them. The irony is that with all the empty talk about loving your neighbour, and stories like the good samaritan, it often boils down to a very simple exclusive club mindset: 'if you're not one of us, screw you'.

  Getting Stuck on the Idea of Closure

  i may be suffering twice for having left the jehovah's witnesses and watching my jw wife and other family members stay in.

  once for the changed situation (or loss) and another time for expecting to make progress in getting over it.. the 1969 book on death and dying by elisabeth kubler-ross introduced us to the kubler-ross model , commonly referred to as the " five stages of grief.

  " they are very helpful, but the original idea of the book and the hypothesis was that when a person is faced with the reality of impending death , he or she will experience a series of emotional stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.. it isn't always the case, but those stages are often felt by terminally ill patients.

  There are many books that tells you how to be happy, I know this might not sound like not what you are after but according to positive psychology grief is important, without these negative emotions how them would we learn from our hopes and failures and continue to be human? if you are grieving for a long time in my opinion I suggest you see a psychologist, not psychiatrists (temporary solutions for problems, after all you can't take drugs for the rest of your life) and you might want to read the happiness trap.

  I don't think the Kübler-Ross model applies to us anyway, it certainly did when I became an atheist but for most of us who family are in the ‘truth' loop between anger to depression. I think it's because we cannot find closure when we still have a chance, something to do with our super ego perhaps.

  Again you are presupposing that deities/Jesus/Jehovah exist, the old god of the gaps argument, the 'I don't know therefore god'. Why god? why not multiple gods or pagan gods?

  By definition yes belief can be based on the unknown, I can believe that magic teapots float around Saturn and that flying pink unicorns exist, but this argument is a strawman because I never argued that I have beliefs in the same that are like 'I don't know if I have a lost twin brother, therefore I believe or 'I do not know if I have an invisible fire breathing dragon in my garage, therefore I believe' or I don't know <insert here>, therefore I believe'. So is it really that crazy??

  So far I failed to establish a dialogue, he isn't very bright even for a jw, does not seem to realise the bad name that he is giving other jw's.
